Founder Luigi Mariani diversifies his investments, constitutes Maral Srl and begins the construction of the first factory in Seregno, in the heart of Brianza.
1982
With the building complete, the manufacture of semi-rigid flexible and extendable aluminium tubes begins, initially for the DIY and hardware sector.
1985
Founder Luigi Mariani creates and registers the SICURFLEX trademark, which will become established in subsequent years and is now a benchmark for high-quality branded products.
1986
Strengthened by its experience in spiralling, Maral develops and expands production to include flexible stainless steel tubes for the evacuation of fumes in the construction and heating sectors, thanks in part to an efficient sales team and commercial network.
1987
The company’s ongoing success requires an extension of the factory to house new machinery for the manufacturing operations of Maral srl.
1988
Thanks to the diversification of its range, Maral invests in technology for the manufacture of single-wall flues, and expands production.
Italian and European standards impose regulations for the manufacture of compliant products, and Maral obtains its first certification, issued by the Istituto Giordano.
1990
The year of change: Luigi Mariani can no longer go it alone, so his son Alessandro Mariani joins the company to support its ongoing development.
1991
New products are developed and capital invested in the purchase of machinery for the production of flexible and extendable corrugated stainless steel tubes for gas and water systems. A new sales network is built.
1993
The EN 9891 standard requires the certification of gas pipes, and Maral obtains recognition by the prestigious body IMQ.
1994
Customer loyalty and recognition in the construction, hardware, heating and DIY markets as a high-quality producer; new commercial agreements with leading companies and brands for exclusive production.

Construction of a new warehouse for the additional storage of new and rapidly expanding products. New CE Certification for chimneys in the form of EN 1856-1 and EN 1856-2.

New CE Certification for gas pipes, in accordance with EN 14800

Luigi Mariani passes the baton to his son Alessandro, who takes charge of Maral srl and successfully continues the business.
